All About Kidney Stones
There are millions of people all over the globe that suffer from kidney stone problem and therefore it is now becoming one of the most common renal problems that is faced by the humans. A lot of people are of the opinion that kidney stone problems happen because of lack of water, but there are various other reasons that can lead to kidney stones. In fact kidney stones are not new to human beings because some of the Egyptian mummies also had kidney stones which prove that kidney stone problems have existed on the planet from ancient times.
Kidney stones also known as renal calculi are semi-solid minerals which are present and found in the urinary tract. The urinary tract is made up of ureters, kidneys, bladder and urethra and these stones can be found anywhere in the urinary tract depending on the size of the stone. If you are look at the geographical graph you will find that kidney stone problems are more common in countries with hot climate and therefore majority of the kidney stone problems are registered in the Middle East. Of course, the most common reason for the cause of kidney stones is not drinking enough water, but in some cases diet can play an equally important role. Kidney stones are normally made up of calcium oxalate and phosphate, but in some cases these stones are also made up of the left out solid particles in the urine which gradually accumulates and forms into a kidney stone. The scary part for those suffering from kidney stone problems is that they are prone to getting kidney stones again if they don't change their diet and lifestyle.
In the initial phase, kidney stones problems are unknown, but the pain begins when the stone slides down from the kidney to ureter. Patients can feel a lot of pain when the stone moves through the ureter, but the severity of pain also depends on the size of the stone. Some stones are smaller and therefore they quickly move out of the body while the patient is passing urine, but larger kidney stones can make the patient feel like vomiting and nausea and patient might pass out blood in the urine. Laser therapy is considered as the best way to get rid of the kidney stones without getting operated and feeling any pain.
